" Through our activities, we met each other and found that despite the different starting points and professional careers, we share a common idea: We believe that the quality of our lives depends directly on how well we understand ourselves, the world around us, and our contact with nature as well. And the only way to achieve this is through a modern, innovative, up-to-date pedagogical and learning practice. After all, that is our goal! "

"If you give a hungry man a fish, you feed him for a day, but if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime" (Lao Tsu).

That's exactly what I realized early in my career as a science teacher in High School and applied laboratory experimentation as a powerful learning tool!  Today, as Head of School Science Laboratory Center (EKFE) of my local educational authority (Larissa, Thessaly), I’m working on promoting the experimental practice of science teaching, in all the Schools of Prefecture of Larissa (Elementary, Middle and High Schools), by teacher training on experimental teaching, supporting science labs in schools and organizing presentations, lectures, workshops, seminars, conferences, competitions, publications and all kinds of activities with science and research content. Through these activities, I met Eleni, Stelios, Fibi, and Chryssa and found that despite the different starting points and professional careers, we share a common idea: We believe that the quality of our lives depends directly on how well we understand ourselves, the world around us as well as our contact with nature. And the only way to achieve this is through a modern, innovative, up-to-date pedagogical and learning practice. After all, that is our goal!

I am greatly interested and I have participated in lots of national teacher conferences (environmental education, health education, psychology in education) and European educational programs on experimental teaching and ICT in Education: Erasmus+, Pestalozzi, CERN study visits, European Union Science Olympiad-EUSO (as Country Coordinator 2015 and 2016). In addition, because of my status, I often participate in conferences on science as a talker, publish articles in scientific journals, and visit schools Ι talk to students and teachers about anything new in natural sciences. Moreover, I have excellent computer knowledge, special skills in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education and I am strongly involved with the digital world and social media. I am also particularly interested in issues related to astronomy, space physics, dynamic meteorology, environmental pollution, global warming, and climate change and have been involved in many local, national, and international voluntary actions.

Hi there! My name is Stelios Ntousios. I usually teach physics in high schools. My master's degree concerns the design of courses and the creation of teaching materials in modern learning environments.

I'm specialized in digital STEAM and I like to integrate all these amazing tools that technology offers us in teaching. I'm an expert in web design & development, using HTML, JS & PHP in Joomla, & WordPress, in creating educational applications with Java, C++ & python, in managing design tools such as Photoshop & AutoCAD, software for statistical analysis such as SPSS & atlas, in creating objects and tools with 3D printing and I love robotics!

I'm also specialized in intercultural education and I introduced many innovative activities as an assistant manager in a high school, trying to turn it into a more interesting place for the students and for the teachers as well.

I took part in several European Erasmus+ projects, with adults or with my students, on the topic of digital STEAM, digital storytelling, media literacy, etc and more European projects like "Inspiring Science Education"

In my personal life, I enjoy diving, making podcasts, studying new topics, traveling the globe, and playing chess with my three children.

George KoukoutianosHello, My name is George Koukoutianos and I teach computer science for 22 years in secondary schools in Greece.

My job is also my hobby. I teach programming to pupils and students and in addition to work, I spend my free time on computer hardware issues, network management, Raspberry and Arduino programming, Android development, 3D printing, image and video processing, and drone shooting. I like to try new technologies, experiment with new methods and products, and incorporate them into my work, to introduce them to my students.

I have participated in Erasmus + programs with STEAM content for the last three years which have given me new impetus and stimuli to expand the pedagogical methods and tools in my teaching work.

Apart from my job I love running, mountaineering, the mountain, and the sea. I love motorcycle rides as well as photography of all kinds, from the birds of the lake next to us to the astrophotography of the summer sky with the telescope of our school. The "carpe diem" I think perfectly describes my daily life.
