S for Seeds - Biodiversity back into our Lives from Forgotten Traditional Seeds

According to findings highlighted by the European Green Agreement, biodiversity is now losing 90%.

An agricultural economy that respects biodiversity is a model that can be integrated into the five most important EU policies for fiscal recovery, which in the long term offer high economic multipliers and have a positive impact on the climate.

Thus, raising young people's awareness of biodiversity is considered a necessary and capable condition of a world that must commit itself to the principle of 'net profit' in order to return more than it receives to nature. In this context and in the field of agriculture, we must always educate and encourage the new generation to carry out its agricultural projects while respecting biodiversity and the conservation of ecosystems.

To create an ecological corridor between neighboring Mediterranean countries to protect traditional plant varieties and prevent genetic isolation, through aid for a gradual return to the cultivation of traditional plant varieties.

Edu-Europe will make a decisive contribution to the BIOFORCE program by creating an electronic platform for the registration of traditional local seeds. To which species of plants each variety belongs, what special characteristics each has, although to what extent (percentage) is now cultivated in our region, and finally the cultivation care needed to thrive again.

Also with forum theatre in which young people collaborate, discuss, and express themselves through art, in order to find solutions to deal with the alteration of plant genetic material in our region and its effects.
